An extended weekend engaging with nature and wildlife, organized by the American Littoral Society in partnership with NYC Audubon. Lodging is at the Montauk Manor House (indoor/outdoor heated pools, sauna, Jacuzzi, and large suites). Cost: $395/person (double occupancy) includes 2 nights lodging, 5 meals, 5 guided hikes, 2 evening programs, and free pickup at the LIRR station (single room $130 extra). All hikes are fairly easy and we stop to talk about flora, fauna, history, etc.

Directions: By car from NYC take the Long Island Expressway to exit 70. Head south for several miles to Rte. 27 East. Follow signs to Montauk.

By Train: Take the LIRR from Penn Station or Jamaica to the last stop in Montauk. Call the Manor House for pickup 631-668-4400. Call the LIRR at (718) 214-5477 to get current schedules. Or, you can take the Hampton Jitney bus from Manhattan to Montauk. Call for schedule & rates.

What to Bring: Clothes for cool and hot weather, raincoat, bathing suit, flashlight (star watch), binoculars, hiking shoes/sneakers. Everything is informal.

Noon – 3pm … early check-in.
3-5pm … hike for early-comers.
9:00pm …Orientation and slide show on Montauk.
(dinner on own Friday night_)

Saturday, June 2

7:30-9am …Breakfast at Sammy’s Restaurant
9am –noon …Choice of field trips
12:30-2pm ..Lunch at Sammy’s Restaurant
2-5pm ….Choice of field trips.
6-9pm …Dinner at O’Murphy’s Restaurant (included)
9:00pm …Slide presentation and star watch.

Sunday, June 3
