In the past 5 years, humpback whales have returned to the waters around New York City. Gotham Whale has been documenting their return and is monitoring their behavior and the environmental conditions that may contribute to this exciting phenomenon. They will present their finding and discuss why whales and dolphins are so recently returned to an area of such human activity, yet rich in wildlife, where whales can be seen with skyscrapers as a backdrop.
