Biosolids/Combined Sewer Overflow

The Biosolids/Combined Sewer Overflow Committee works with the NYC Department of Environmental Protection as an oversight and advisory group to improve the operation of the NYC wastewater treatment plants and their biosolid and water products as they affect the harbor water and air quality. The Committee meets quarterly with the NYC DEP, discusses and proposes actions, takes tours, and hears reports.  The Committee concentrates on the treatment of the liquid waste treatment, the associated testing and reporting.  It works in conjunction with the Interstate Environmental Commission.  The Committee chair is Edgar Freud, (212)877-4394 and Elfreud@aol.com

Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
Nestled between the Brooks Mountain Range and the shores of the Beaufort Sea in remote northeast Alaska, the narrow 1.5 million-acre coastal plain of the Refuge is the biological heart of this untamed wilderness.
