It’s Sean of the NYC Sierra Club. For those that couldn’t make the April 6th webinar, “Zero-Emission Watercraft Seminar,” we uploaded the video to the NYC Sierra Club website and our YouTube channel.

Towards the end, we conducted an experiment in participatory democracy by asking the audience to vote on three propositions that could accelerate progress in New York State. The audience was NOT a random sample of voters. They overwhelming endorsed the propositions. Senator Kaminsky was supportive of the need to take action wherever possible to limit emissions, increasing the probability of hitting the targets in New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA).

New York! It’s Sean of NYC Sierra Club. I know it’s been a difficult time for everyone staying at home, staying healthy, keeping our social distancing. But, just because we’re all staying inside doesn’t mean we can’t be there for the environment too.

Just want to remind everyone that NYC Sierra Club is sponsoring a free seminar about the state adopting a zero-emission watercraft. This could impact the NYC ferries and all other kinds of water transportation in New York.

Senator Todd Kaminsky will be attending this seminar as well. The seminar will be broadcast via Zoom on Monday, April 6th from 3:30-5:00pm. Please find the details for the Zoom registration at the NYC Sierra Club website.
