NYC Sierra is reaching out to the boroughs with environmental programs. On the 28th of June, we will be presenting the program, “Going Solar! Can you Live off the Grid in NYC?” The program will be presented at the Staten Island Museum from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. by Scott McDonnell of Empower Solar and Thomas Wysmuller, Ex-NASA. Staten Island’s famous Eggers Ice Cream will be served. Admission to the program is free, but attendees are asked to make a suggested contribution to the Staten Island Museum of $5.00 ($3.00 for seniors.) Earlier, programs presented at Alley Pond Environmental Center in Queens included the film, “More than Honey,” “The Rise of Albedo as a Major Driver of Climate, and the program regarding, “Going Solar.” Sierrans from the boroughs are needed to plan and present programming for the coming year.
